Shyanne Roberts is a very talented 10 year old girl. She learned gun safety at age six and started shooting competitively at age seven. Now, she will be the youngest shooter at the Brownell Lady-3 Pro-Am Challenge in Georgia, where she’ll compete against 200 other women.
As she told CNN, her passions are shooting and gun safety.
I want to be an inspiration to other kids and be a leader. Kids and guns don’t always mean bad things happen.
While most kids stay inside playing video games, this girl is outside learning how to shoot and defend herself.
As her father notes, talking about gun safety techniques in school is something forbidden, as anti-gun groups would use their substantial political clout to shut it down. But more children should be made aware of how to use a gun safely.
