10-Year-Old’s Letter to the Troops Will Leave You Laughing Hysterically

Capture

Every now and again, as a parent you have to watch what might slip out of your mouth when the kids are around. We can almost imagine a parent making the following comment about ISIS as they were watching the news, before their child headed off and copied the same exact language. In a letter. To the troops.

Military wife Misty Allen-Brummett posted a letter her husband received from a 10-year-old boy who had sent a care package to the troops. ¬†Brummett at first thought the “teacher forgot to re-read what the children wrote” on the letters, but later learned otherwise.

It started innocently enough:

Capture

But it’s the next sentence that Brummell said probably gave her husband and his fellow service members “a great laugh.”

Capture

Brummett said that her theory about teachers forgetting to proofread the letters didn’t pan out. Because the boy’s mother actually contacted her through social media.

According to her, the mother “almost made him change it …¬†but she thought maybe the troops would enjoy it and get a laugh out of it, so she left it.”
