34 Years Ago, Ronald Reagan Put a Heckler in His Place: “SHUT UP!”

President Ronald Reagan, a conservative icon and hero, knew how to communicate with the people. His skills were beyond that of a mere actor. Instead, he embodied all that is good with America, and didn’t need a teleprompter to explain his values.

Watch (above) as Reagan – 34 years ago – famously tells a heckler to, “Shut up!”

There are cities in Michigan,” Reagan said in the 1980 speech, while being interrupted by hecklers.

“There are cities in Michigan,” he said again, before addressing the hecklers: “Oh shut up!”
