5 Stars Who Got Married BEFORE Getting Pregnant in 2014

It’s hard to tell what comes first, the chicken or the egg, but trends in Hollywood over the last decade or two have followed what sociologists have been noticing nationwide. There are so many births to unmarried women that that scenario, not that of babies born to married couples, is becoming the norm.

The norm in Hollywood, unfortunately, is for stars to get pregnant and then, maybe afterwards get married. This phenomenon is nothing new, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell are one famous pair of unmarried parents, however their rebellion is no longer nearly as scandalous as it once was. Stars who are bucking the trend, getting married first before having a child, should be celebrated. Here’s a list of some of these celebs:

1. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

The stars, married in 2012, announced their pregnancy in October on Blake’s lifestyle website Preserve.

2. Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake

It’s not officially announced yet but rumor is, the couple are due with their first child in early 2015. Recent pictures of Biel, who married Timberlake in 2012, highlight a noticeable baby bump.

3. Emily Deschanel and David Hornsby

The star of Bones and Hornsby, a star in his own right from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, are expecting their second child in 2015. The couple married in September of 2010 and had their first child, a son, almost exactly a year later.

4. Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher

Country star Carried Underwood married Fisher, a professional hockey star, in 2010. On September 1, Labor Day, Underwood announced her pregnancy on Instagram with this cute shot:

Ali Larter and Hayes MacArther

Larter and MacArther are expecting their second child after welcoming the first, a son Theodore in December 2010. The pair married in August 2009 after a three year relationship and announced their pregnancy on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in this hilarious clip:
