An 80-Year-Old Man Was Stranded on the Side of the Road… What Happens Next Is AMAZING!

Here’s your feel-good story for Friday…

A man only identified as Mr. Willie in North Carolina, decided that he wanted a nice lunch to celebrate his 80th birthday. So he got onto his motorized wheelchair and headed to Bojangles, a fast food chain in the Southeast.

But there was a one problem – Mr. Willie’s wheelchair didn’t want to cooperate on the trip, and he ended up stranded on the side of the road.

Enter Officer Flannery, of the Greenville, North Carolina Police Department.

We LOVE a feel good story!! Today is Mr. Willie’s 80th Birthday. All he wanted was a Bojangles lunch. Unfortunately, his motorized wheelchair broke down on the way there! Not to fear! Officer Flannery spotted Mr. Willie broken down on the side of the road and came to the rescue. And yes, he made sure Mr. Willie got the birthday lunch he was craving! Happy Birthday, Sir!!! (Thanks to Darrell Dorsey for capturing the moment!)

Not only did Officer Flannery share a lunch with the newly 80-year-old man, the police department had one of its Property and Evidence technicians pick up Mr. Willie’s wheelchair and get it back on the road.

All in a day’s work for the men in blue.

Thank you Officer Flannery for showing people what a little act of kindness like lunch can mean to people!

This is the kind of story that happens every day in many places and deserves some press instead of all the negative crap.
