You rarely ever see anything like this in your life, but some kids are born to lead and act when they see danger. This 7-year-old boy is being called a hero after he tried to stop a robbery while he was shopping with his family at a video game store in Silver Spring, MD.

The young kid watched as the thieves strolled into the convenience store wearing hoods and masks and he just knows they were coming in to make a purchase. Now we do not condone what the young man did as it was dangerous, but he went to stand in front of the door so one of the robbers could not leave.

When one of the suspects tried to walk past the boy, the kid threw a haymaker to protect himself and the store. The suspect reached for the boy; the little guy responded by punching him twice in the stomach in a moment captured on surveillance video released by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Dept. He was still holding the Yoshi doll they came in to buy.

From Fox News Insider:

A young Maryland boy tried his best to stop two armed men from robbing the video game store where he was shopping.

Surveillance video from the Silver Spring GameStop store shows the seven-year-old approach one of the gun-wielding men and punch him twice.

The masked man then shoved the boy out of the way and continued with the heist.

The boy, his parents and the clerks were ordered to lie down behind the counter as the thieves stole cash and fled.

The boy’s father said he wasn’t near his son in the store when the robbers walked in and approached his son.

“He saw somebody who was a stranger, who seemed most dangerous to him and he tried to defend himself. I think it was his natural instinct taking over there,” the father told WTTG.

Luckily the suspects did not harm the boy or others before escaping.

The suspects are both described as black men in their 20s. Anyone with information should call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-8477.

Watch the experience here:

The robbers forced the store clerks to lie down and ran out the front door with some cash and some personal property, NBC Washington reported.

The little boy showed great bravery, but police don’t recommend this sort of action, and neither do I. The suspects were armed which really makes me appreciate the young man’s attempt to stop them but hopefully if there is ever a next time, he will just fall to the ground and allow the police to do their jobs.

Hey, what do you think about this young man’s attempt to stop these burglars? Quite a heroic feat don’t you agree? If you have any advice for this young man Drop in our comments section below and don’t forget the share this story on your Twitter or Facebook page.
