Archaeologists Discovered an Ancient Burial Ground… But They’d Never Seen One Like This Before

If you are scared of confined spaces, you may want to look away now.

Archaeologists working in eastern Turkey have just discovered an ancient burial ground thought to have been used by the ancient Kingdom of Uratu.

But if you think these ancient Turks were given a wake with soggy sandwiches and a quick prayer, think again. You see, these archaeologists have discovered people buried in giant ceramic jars.

Sure, it may look like a giant Lego brick, but it’s actually a series of jars buried in the ground. Why were they buried in such a fashion. Surely these jars were expensive… so is this how the super-rich (the Warren Buffets of the ancient world) were sent on their way?

We don’t know yet, but this is proof that the ancient world hasn’t finished offering up its secrets.
