What Barack Obama Does After Refusing to Salute This Marine Will Enrage You

We have seen when President Barack Obama does not salute Marines who watching over him, but this video is extra obnoxious.

Watch (above) while on his way to Europe, Obama passes a Marine and doesn’t salute. Then after realizing how this departure was probably video-taped, returned outside and gave a weak half-salute before going back inside.

Does President Barack Obama respect the military? Should America insist on having a President with military experience? Please leave us a comment and tell us what you think.

Is it just me, but it looks like the co-pilot watching him, with a WFT look, shook Obama’s hand with a fake smile on his face, and said something like “sir, you forgot to salute the marine.”

  7. JohnLeo says:

Well may I suggest that we have CMH recipients greet Obama when ever and where ever he boards his heilo or AF 1 Because I know this much … HE IS REQUIRED TO SALUTE THEM !!!

    1. There is no such thing as the Presidential salute
    2. He’s not in uniform and can’t salute as per military rules even though other presidents have done so.
Don’t get me wrong I hate this traitor to the American Way and Constitution of the United States.

  11. He saluted SOMEBODY when he entered the plane–captain(?)

  12. April says:

Okay, c’mon folks… I am NOT a fan of this president at all…but this is about as weak as it gets. There are SO many other things that need to be looked in to.
The President is not required to return a salute, in fact, as a civilian, I personally don’t think he should salute.

    1. Rosemary says:

He is the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES! AS SUCH HE IS NO LONGER A CIVILIAN but the COMMANDER AND CHIEF of THE ENTIRE MILITARY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! If he did not or does not want this position or responsibility then he should step down as PRESIDENT! IT COMES WITH THE JOB!!

      1. Cliff says:

  13. Michael says:

Reagan was the first President who started returning salutes. The President of the United States is NOT required to salute. So for those of you say he is required to do it, look it up so at least you know what you are posting about.

  14. Connie says:

Has no respect! because of our armed services he is free. He embarrasses me in front of the world

  15. Jennifer says:

I am far from an Obama fan, however, I have to agree with a lot of these comments. This is not that bad. Yes, he forgot to salute. He also went back and shook the marine’s hand and was very personable with him. Way blown out of proportion here.

  16. David says:

All salutes in the military are required to be acknowledged. If hands are free a return salute is in order. (Required) SOME branches of the service do not salute when indoors or without a cover on EXCEPT when protocol dictates otherwise. There is courtesy and there is military courtesy. And then there is a complete lack of courtesy. Two days in Marine boot camp would educate Obama in how to act.

  17. David says:

A true leader would have held the umbrella for the marine. He would have also been aware of the IG report BEFORE it had been leaked to the press. One thing is clear. Obama is all wet.

  18. Shear'Ree says:

Obama is the biggest disgrace to the USA!

  19. Nina says:

I believe we should have a president that is loyal and respectful to our military and to this great Country that we live in. I have never seen a president, who is so biase on Racism and America! He is the worst President that we have every seen in office! God have Mercy on America!

  20. Jesse says:

Hitler would have made sure he saluted, so I guess that’s all that matters. What a joke this [article] is. I’m a veteran and am in no way moved by the president saluting or not saluting, just amusingly irritated by people who call him out on such a stupid basis.

  21. David says:

A salute out of uniform is improper. If you’d served you would know that. In fact it is improper to salute without a cover….that’s a hat for all you haters.

    1. Josiah says:

I don’t doubt the fact that you served, but you should then know that these do not apply to the commander in chief.

  22. Dale says:

Am I missing something? I noticed that he didn’t salute when he entered the chopper — but I also know that he’s not required to. What I did see, though, is that he almost immediately alighted from the chopper and went and shook the Marine’s hand!

As to the incredibly stupid idea that the chopper pilot said something to the commander-in-chief about his not having saluted, or that he told the President to go salute the Marine, that’s ridiculous. If the pilot had done either of those things, it’d be his very last time piloting Marine One, and possibly his last time piloting anything. Even if the President didn’t say anything, the pilot’s chain of command wouldn’t stand for it.

  23. Linda says:

Marines oath……..”I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”
Hope some of you realize that Obama is the Commander in Chief and should act so.

  24. Linda says:

BTY…it was the pilot who said something to him otherwise I don’t think he would have come back on his own….you can see the pilot turning in his seat and then the President leaned forward to hear him and talk to him…then out he came back out.

  25. Linda says:

He is the Commander in Chief….His oath “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States”. … He should have saluted the Marine back and dismissed him from protecting his post! I think why many are making a big deal of this is because he did not fly the flag at half staff for the Marines that just got killed in Chattanooga (but did for a non-military shooting-which is fine but also do it for our men who protect and serve our county) …shame on Him!!!!

  26. Zig says:

Gus? The President is not a civilian per say, he is the Commander in Chief of the armed forces, and does rate a salute. Second Headlinepolitics……trying to spin this and make this out to be a bad thing just shows how juvenile and ridiculous your editor is. What the President did was a noble, and humble gesture toward a Marine, and a sign of a true leader. Your editors comments are a sign of a biased and moronic person who should not even be writing for a high school news paper.

  27. Jay says:

“Should America insist on having a President with military experience?” The country was established so that there was CIVILIAN oversight of the military. That is not to say that an ex-military person can not or should not hold political office including the office of President… but it is why no sitting President can also be in the military at the same time.

And since this is “trump”ed up (chose word specifically) Republican outrage, in the last 50 years, we had Republicans: Dick Nixon (didn’t serve), Ronnie Reagan (served but his poor eyesight kept him from serving overseas and ultimately he ended up working as a public relations specialist), George Bush I (the only service member with actual service) and George Bush II (managed to serve his country in the Guard while doing cocaine). This is what you are going to hold up as military experience?

Well, if you want that: Then why did you all back good old Mitt last election?

And for that matter, lets thin the GOP herd:
    Jeb Bush – never served
    Ben Carson – never served
    Chris Christie – never served
    Ted Cruz – never served
    Carly Fiorina – never served
    Mike Huckabee – never served
    Bobby Jindal – never served
    John Kasich – never served
    George Pataki – never served
    Rand Paul – never served
    Marco Rubio – never served
    Rick Santorum – never served
    Donald Trump – never served
    Scott Walker – never served

I know there are others, but I can’t keep track of the clowns who can’t get enough of the spotlight to make me laugh.

So, what does this leave the GOP with? Lindsey Graham or Rick Perry! Good luck with that!

  29. Jerry says:

The Marine’s job is to serve the President. The President’s job is leader of the free world. There is nothing ‘due’ to the Marine. His obligation is to salute commanding officers.

  30. Denisse says:

Here goes the media changing the story again to fire up the people against the president. Watch the video, you can CLEARLY see he simply forgot. He’s the president and prob my has a million things on his mind. Have you ever passed by anyone and didn’t see them or forget to say hello? I’m sure you have. The media needs to cut their BS.

  31. Janine says:

The way our media makes statements on our worlds activities just to get us all worked up kills me, even worse its peoples IGNORANCE to judge on just that little information on one persons assumption. If your gonna assume things, get ALL your facts on the matter. Look around you all day people ARE respecting others, as well as there are people NOT respecting others. But yet WE ALL want the same thing?

  32. Amy says:

This article makes this seem a lot worse than it was. It doesn’t look like he refused whatsoever. It looks like he simply didn’t notice him soluting or didn’t realize he was supposed to salute. He came back out and shook his hand while smiling which showed respect to me. He may not have saluted but he did take the time to come back out and shake his hand which is just as good to me. They weren’t facing each other head on so there is a good chance he just didn’t realize the soldier saluting him.

  33. Gus says:

The President is a civilian, he isn’t entitled to salute. He hasn’t earned that PRIVILEGE! Educate yourselves Obama bashers. #ignoranceisbliss

  34. William says:

    Ya just can’t fix stupid!!!

  35. Latisha says:

Giving the President the benefit of the doubt (and I would really hate to leave a doubt); he probably had too much on his mind that he didn’t realize that he had forgotten. He did however come back out to correct the offense.

  36. Scott says:

He needs to show some respect to our military

  37. Doris says:

The marine probably didn’t care. Everyone knows the salute means nothing because there is no respect that accompanies the salute

  38. John says:

As far as this President serving in the military, i don’t think he could get past basic training.

  39. Patricia says:

I don’t know how old you are Alex. But all of the past presidents hae always saluted the military/

  40. Roy says:

I don’t know why we keep putting up with Obama, If people go looking to fight with “ISIS” why don’t they start with Obama our military knows what to do if you or disrespectful to any of our troops you should not be part of our government bottom line.

  41. John says:

In this time when the country is in termoil the president should show as much respect twords the men and women of our military if not as an entity but as fellow human beings. He should honor them for leaving there familys behind to do as he asks , and protecting the president and all citizens of this country with dignety . after all he is the commander in chief ! a situation like this should not be politically influenced but of pearsonal gratitude and common decency for fellow man!!

  42. Rick says:

Do you all remember back in 2006 and 2007 obummer refused to wear an American flag on his lapel! And moochille wasn’t proud of being an American till after Obummer was elected! So no this doesn’t enrage me. His total lack of respect for America does!

  43. Kim says:

alex, I have to disagree. If you watch past footage of Ford, Johnson, Truman, and Eisenhower, you will see them saluting the marines. previous to Truman we did not have a presidential airplane. But as far back as you can search, presidents have saluted the military. Democratic presidents salute less often than do republicans though. I am 55 years old, and in my life time, Obama salutes the least. Until Clinton, every president since roosevelt had served in the military, Clinton, Bush and Obama are the only three in recent history who did not

  44. Scott says:

How can you be commander and chief of the most elite force in the world if you never even been a boy scout I believe if you have never been in the Armed service then you should not be president

  45. Mary says:

he has destroyed America and put us in great danger

  46. Alex says:

First of all, I’m not an ‘Obama man,’ these are just some facts and my opinion on the situation. For all of you blasting Obama, let me remind you that until Ronald Reagan came around, none of the presidents saluted military personal (not even the ones who served in the military and were war heroes). Also, he’s done more good to this country than our last string of screw-ups (I’m looking right at you Bush). Also, have any of you people been president, or know how taxing it is on someone? He slipped up there, and he went back and apologized. And for you saying the pilots reminded him, if you pay attention, neither of them were watching what happened. Honestly, it’s you people who shut this country down. If you think that President Obama is incompetent, I’d like to see you get up off your lazy asses and do something. Oh and one last note, the president is a civilian, and civilians are not supposed to salute military personal.

  47. Richard says:

The President of the United States doesn’t have to salute, it is just a sign of respect and\or recognition. The main point is he doesn’t HAVE to. Yet he still turned around, went back outside and apologized to the marine. In my opinion he is one of the best Presidents America has ever had a great person.

  48. Jayla says:

This was seriously a stupid post!!!! I really wish people would just leave him alone sometimes you forget things especially when u are getting up in age. I think he is a great president (and I’m not just saying that because he’s black for the sterotypical people) he’s doing what he can but nobody wants to give him a chance. He’s doing the hardest job in the world you will never know how difficult it is to be in his shoes. Leave him alone he’s doing more for our country than what people think and then you want to complain about how the economy is messed up thank, the other presidents for that. Just stay out his way and let Obama do his job thats all I have to say. #NuffSaid

  49. Vera says:

Of course thou would cut out the part when he came back and shook the guys hand. Let me do your work for you. Half assed journalists

  50. DAVID says:

Enraged..obnoxious.. maybe slightly out of sync with military protocol.. but in no way obnoxious.. he entered the craft and may have been given a nod from an aide.. and he went back and shook the hand of the marine.. thats called respect.. not obnoxious behaviour. The guy has a lot on his plate and just had a misdemeanor.

  51. Steven says:

this is a nothing story. he realized his mistake (something anyone could forget) and goes back and shakes his hand. dang conservatives, find something real to complain about… i seem to recall GWB half-saluting with a dog…

  52. Sukie584 says:

why would this enrage me? he goes back and shakes the Marines hand. Per military protocol if you are not in uniform nor a member of the armed services you should NOT salute. Not until Reagan who felt odd not saluting back did this become commonplace. Prior to Reagan no President saluted and usually just blew right by them. where was the outrage then? this is just bs Obama hate.. try redirecting that towards the real problems in this country.

    1. Jennifer says:

You do realize that the POTUS is in the military right? He’s the Commander in Chief, top dog. It’s the only real power he has.

  53. Rich says:

As a marine that served during Vietnam, I find it appalling that the only thing this usurper can do is walk up to that Corporal and give him a handshake. That Marine stood there and maintained his salute until the usurper was in Marine One. This man has no respect for our military and what he did to that Marine is proof if it!

  54. Garrett says:

RETHREAD: I don’t have a problem with Obama not saluting … as a matter of fact, I think he shouldn’t be allowed to salute. He, unlike most other Presidents, has never served, and doesn’t deserve the privilege of saluting those who do and have. Reagan was the first POTUS to consistently salute back, but he served in the military, and thus, was a veteran. Carter, Reagan, Bush 41, and Bush 43 all served, Clinton and Obama did not, and both have at one point or another during their lives, have openly declared that they hated the military. So, I don’t give a damn if Clinton or Obama ever salute … they’re not worthy of it anyway.

    1. Karl says:

Why don’t you provide some evidence of your B.S.? “Openly declared?” When and where? Idiots like you say this stuff but can never back it up. It’s your hate and stupidity talking, and nothing else.

  55. Julia says:

this is headline news… I think this is a way to rationalize one fears and the headline of a small mind … expand – his respect is evident in his gesture to those by stepping back out

The President of the United States is a civilian. He is not a member of the US Military and is therefore not entitled to salute. The military salute is a privilege earned by honorable service in the military. It is also a privilege that can be taken away. Military prisoners are stripped of the privilege of saluting. While the President is Constitutionally the CINC, he is not a member of the military.

One of the core principles of our country is our military is under civilian control. The President is that civilian authority over the military as is the Secretary of Defense and the Secretaries of the branches of the armed services.

In 2007, Northwestern University History Professor Emeritus Garry Willis wrote in the New York Times, “The glorification of the president as a war leader is registered in numerous and substantial executive aggrandizements; but it is symbolized in other ways that, while small in themselves, dispose the citizenry to accept those aggrandizements. We are reminded, for instance, of the expanded commander in chief status every time a modern president gets off the White House helicopter and returns the salute of marines.”

“We used to take pride in civilian leadership of the military under the Constitution, a principle that George Washington embraced when he avoided military symbols at Mount Vernon. We are not led — or were not in the past — by caudillos,” Willis continued.

Watch Past Presidents in their award of the Medal of Honor and see that they DO NOT salute – how many reasons can we find to spread hippocracy and ill will.

  56. Carrol says:

Non issue. I saluted a general getting off his plane. This was an officer I had briefed many times. He recognized me, said, “At ease, Sgt.” Then he came over and offered his hand and asked me how things were going, etc.. Which do you think showed the most respect?

  57. Spencer says:

He is just a sorry excuse for a President. It’s very typical of his lack of respect for the military. I hope
every time he looks at a marine he thinks about Mexico.

  58. Chuck says:

Returning a salute actually a tradition started by Reagan, not protocol. You don’t salute out of uniform.

    1. Rich says:

That is the uniform of this supposedly Commander in Chief. He could be in his scivies and still have to salute the Marine or any other member of the military. Tradition or not, even officers that are not in uniform when entering any base in this country return salutes. The only person that does not have to return salutes is the wife of an officer.

  59. Jordan says:

    Who the $&#% cares!

  60. James says:

this is the stupidest thing i have ever seen. Who cares?

  61. Steve says:

Our “President” has shown that he has no respect for our military throughout his entire career. This is just another example. But, there are MILLIONS of Americans who respect our military, even though they have never served. Some were disqualified, some know they couldn’t do it and some have religious beliefs that forbid it. I’m fine with that because not everyone is a good fit for everything. I believe that disqualifying these Americans would be unfair. I served in the Marine Corps because I felt a need to give something back to my country. I understand that not everyone feels that particular need. However, that doesn’t mean they can’t serve their country in other ways. Believe me, being in the military did nothing to prepare me for a political career. It could be argued that requiring military service is religious discrimination. Wouldn’t the ACLU love that!!!!

  62. Paige says:

I probably care least about Obama than anyone but this is really a cheap shot at the man. If anything after him missing the salute and returning to shake the marines hand I would grade this ‘better than a salute’. And to imply that he realized he was on camera so he returns to correct his mistake is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. How could you know that? Come on guys this only demonstrates an evil heart of hatred. You are better than that aren’t you?

  63. Mae says:

Prelude: I did not vote for Barack Obama. You just wasted several seconds of my time in your desperation to find something appalling about… nothing. Maybe he forgot, maybe he was lost in thought, but he came BACK realizing it. The more you idiots desperately try to paint the guy as Satan, the more moderates start to defend him. The 2012 election was bolstered by the idiocy of the extreme right… Fox most of all. Americans are forgiving and respect the office, regardless of the man… unfortunately for the neocons. REAL Conservatives do as well and we are beyond sick of you extremists obsessing over irrelevant things like this. Policy is the meat, this is the bubblegum. Stay focused, idiots! Stop assuming that we are all brainless puppets.

    1. Jerry says:

Mae, aside from the comments who understand military protocol, yours is the best I’ve read. People on the far right go out of their way to discredit this president in any way they can and often wind up looking foolish and worse when doing so. He could make us all millionaires, absolutely make America the strongest and most admired nation in the world and find a cure for cancer and some people would complain he didn’t make us billionaires, or take over Russia, or find cures for heart disease and everything else, too. C’mon, people! Things like this video only inflame people on both sides mostly for reasons that aren’t even legitimate and tend to make moderates support him more. This is just plain stupid for whoever decided it should be posted.

  64. Dianne says:

This man is the most disrespectful person I have ever seen.. What he did , if you were military , you would know was very disrespectful thing he could have done.. To walk back and shake his hand..I mean he has no respect for our Military or U.S. for that matter. He needs to get out of the office and better yet out of our Country.. And for those of you who do not see this get your eyes checked..

  65. S says:

He isnt suppose to shake his hand and his non- American gestures when National Anthem is played is just a few ways he proves he knows nothing about American customs. He is not an American in anyway shape or form. He embarrasses us with his disrespectful manner in our ally countries as well. Arrogant moron.

  66. Martin says:

As a veteran who has seen combat, I truly and honestly believe that POTUS should have at least served. It is easy to send men and women into harms way when you have no idea what that means. The President, as Commander-in-Chief, needs to show respect for the uniform. After having voted for this man twice (hated the original contender after he added Palin, and no respect for a flip-flopper in the next election) I am watching an idiot with no solid foreign policy and weak on the military. Shame, Mr. President, shame!

  67. Brandi says:

As an Army wife and a woman with former marines as friends, I find this deplorable. That man is a disgrace to the office he is holding. I never bought into his lies & I never voted for him. The presidential office should be held by someone of military background, but that person needs to have a deep rooted set of wholesome values as well.

  68. James says:

He realized he was on camera!

  69. Jon says:

It’s just Obama being Obama, he has never had any respect for the military. Which for this veteran is completely understandable since in my view politicians (especially those of the liberal tilt are merely lame ass people who could not handle a real job.

  70. Ronald says:

He went an apologized for not saluting. Not too many Presidents would do that. I have to give him good points for doing that.

  71. Carol says:

Doesn’t surprise me, he doesn’t respect military, veterans, telling the truth, The Constitution or the office that he was voted in by some people.

  72. Darrell says:

Agree 100% Jim..With all the mess Pres Obama has had to deal with from what Dubya left behind and a Do NOTHING GOP House,Maybe he had something on his mind. You can clearly see that when the 2nd man salutes him at the doorway,he remembers and returns to the soldier outside…

  73. Joseph says:

Actually he’s not supposed to salute, he’s not wearing the uniform

  74. Proud says:

Liberal meat heads always seem to come up with the lamest excuse for Obama’s failures and “mistakes” like this one! It’s weird but isn’t this a “mistake” he’s repeated many times?

  75. Proud says:

LAMA, it’s a mistake he’s been repeating over the years you moron!

  76. Fox311 says:

It’s a shame what an embarrassment some Americans can be on the internet.

The President of the United States is a civilian. He is not a member of the US Military and is therefore not entitled to salute. The military salute is a privilege earned by honorable service in the military. It is also a privilege that can be taken away. Military prisoners are stripped of the privilege of saluting. 77. Terrell says:

This dude is feckless—not the 1st time this man has done this !!!

  78. jacobtimms says:

I don’t care for the man’s political philosophy, or the lack thereof. I know he doesn’t like America or the military. And I know he has not a clue as to how to govern the most powerful nation in the world. But, this video wasn’t that bad. He would be saluting all day if he were required to do so. He also got off the chopper and went back to shake the marine’s hand. Photo op correction? Of course. But he did it nonetheless.

There are plenty of really bad things to pick at with this president: IRS scandal, Benghazi, promoting illegal immigration to destabilize our nation, fast & furious, pulling out of Iraq too soon, etc.

Let’s focus on the real issues.

    1. Fox311 says:

Pulling out of Iraq too soon? George W. Bush signed the U.S.–Iraq Status of Forces Agreement. It included a deadline of 31 December 2011, before which “all the United States Forces shall withdraw from all Iraqi territory”

Now you want to blame it on Obama? Typical sheep.

    2. Terrell says:

      Oh——–ITS —– called Military Courtesy -The–Bottom Line——————————

  79. Robert says:

    What an embarrassment…

  80. Roland says:

It will take a generation to correct the damage this man has done to the Human Relations of the world, If we get the chance!

  81. Anthony says:

He didn’t forget to salute the marine. This is the way he really acts on an everyday basis. He is anti american. The only reason why he went back to shake the marines hand cause he new someone was video taping. His first reaction was his true one. Total disrespect for the military and the country. This guy is a frigging disgrace.

  82. Irene says:

yes, JIM. it could have been a mistake but i feel sure he was told that he didn’t salute the guard.

  83. Rexx says:

    James N. writes:

I bow to no one in my utter lack of respect or regard for Barack Obama.
Nevertheless, with regard to the practice of the President saluting military officers and returning their salutes—THAT is an entirely modern innovation. Civilians do not salute officers, nor do officers salute civilians. A civilian who mistakenly salutes an officer or an enlisted man should not have his gesture returned.

The status of the President as Commander-in-Chief of the Army and the Navy was created BECAUSE the President is a civilian. NO President prior to Ronald Reagan ever saluted officers or enlisted men attending him for precisely this reason (that’s also why commissioned officers didn’t vote until FDR, paranoid about the outcome in 1944, authorized the practice). [LA replies: I didn’t know this.]

No President should presume the military honor which the salute conveys. Even General of the Army Dwight David Eisenhower stopped saluting and receiving salutes when he became President. The logical continuation of the Reagan precedent would be for Obama to design a six-star dress uniform for himself, and start wearing a saber.

Be glad that he’s not saluting. http://www.amnation.com/vfr/archives/012545.htm

  84. David says:

OK – I am military and not a real fan of Obama, but give the guy a break on this one. He has been President 6 years and we catch him not saluting one time and make a big deal out of it. He probably had something on his mind. Also, the Marines hold their salute until he has boarded, it is not like passing on the street.

  85. Richard says:

  86. Warren says:

there’s several things to consider here. As a human being, how can you pass up a fellow human without just saying Hello buddy? BUT, a person that’s standing guard for this worthless excuse of a human bean, not speak, not salute, a direct insult to this person as a soldier, and bet if you could read Obama’s mind and feelings at the time, the boy was nothing but another Infidel and honky to him.

    1. Fox311 says:

How many different security and staff people do you think the president passes in a single day trying to walk from one room to another? If he stopped to greet each individual person he’d spend more time glad-handing and less time working. He’s not here to appease each and everyone’s desires of his character, if you dislike him because he comes from a different background as you, then save your comment because there is nothing he can do or say that won’t get a negative reaction from you. There’s also no reason to ridicule because he has been elected buy the majority of us and is due to server until the end of his term regardless of your comments.

  87. Dennis says:

This man is a disgrace to America. Did you see the gay prance he did up the ladder to the plane? I am so ashamed of what we have as a leader.

  88. John says:

Jim, I was going to say something similar like. Hey folks, he does enough bad stuff, we don’t have to make stuff up. Actually I was surprised and liked what he did by returning and recognizing the young marine. Did you see the smile on the face of the marine to think that the President came back? I’m not an Obama man just being truthful.

  89. Donald says:

he just had a brain fart!!!!: forgive him

  90. Brenda says:

He is trying to completely weaken our military, absolutely has no leadership skills and no respect for our troops. He needs to go while we still have America to salvage. If he isn’t impeached or just removed from office for conflict of interest, ( being more interested in the Muslims rights than Americans, and allowing the southern border to be wide open, no accounting on who is coming in from where, ) he should be charged with treason as well. The world has always looked to the USA for help and guidence, they are now laughing at us while we continue to ship money and supplies to them before taking care of our own citizens. Disgusting. An michelle needs to back off the kids lunchs as well, if they are on welfare she can tell them, Oh she doesn’t have a degree in nutrition? humm but if I send my kids lunch to school he better damn well be able to eat it. that is just pushing the limits way overboard by an unqualified nobody. She doesn’t work for the schools why are they letting her run things???

    1. Lisa says:

You echo my thoughts exactly! Well said and I pray for our country with the anniversary of 9/11 today!

  91. Andrew says:

If you knew anything about the military, you would know he isn’t doing anything wrong. You don’t salute without a cover, no matter what position/rank you are. He was probably letting the pilot onboard know what’s going on. Learn your knowledge before you try criticizing our traditions when you know nothing of them. You all make me sick. You’re the reason this country doesn’t function. Could you lead any better? Probably not. Let the ones that were voted into their position do their jobs. If you think you can do better, do something about it, otherwise keep your negative comments to yourselves.

    1. Bradley says:

That statement about not saluting without cover is incorrect. If you are in a military uniform whether it’s pt’s or service uniform and you pass another person in any service uniform that you can identify as an officer you are required to salute with very few exceptions.

    2. Colleen says:

Cover???? Obama was not in the field so there was no need for cover. And yes, I served years ago and can say that this Commander in Chief has no respect for our military, our flag, or our country

    3. Garrett says:

So, let me get this straight … every POTUS from as far back as photography was commonplace has saluted, even Obama, but he doesn’t this one time and you defend it by saying he doesn’t have to without a cover? LOLz!

      1. Garrett says:

… with that being said, I don’t have a problem with Obama not saluting … as a matter of fact, I think he shouldn’t be allowed to salute.

  92. Ryan says:

he is garbage, get him out of the white House

  93. Al says:

Did none of you watch the video? Yes he did walk past the Marine without saluting, however he dose salute the Marines aboard air force one who are piloting. My opinion is that while he was walking towards air force one he was probably deep in thought and simply was zoned out. I further believe once he was aboard air force one his thought process was interrupted and realized his mistake and like a true Commander in Chief he rectified his mistake and paid the Marine his due respect and apologized and shook his hand . The better question here isn’t ” should America insist that POTUS have Military experience” But rather do we as Americans want our POTUS to be a mindless robot and not a human that makes mistakes when his mind is on the task of Leading our country.

    1. Chris says:

First that was barely a salute to the pilots, second watch the video and see he only returns to the Marine outside when he is told by the pilot he screwed up on camera!!! Fence riders are the reason this guy got a second term. Time to get off the fence and make a dang decision for once!!!

    2. Proud says:

it’s seems like your the “mindless robot”. Careful not to choke on that kool-aid!

    3. Steve says:

Actually, it was Marine one, Air Force one is a 747.

      1. Garrett says:

Air Force One is whatever fixed-wing craft the POTUS is on, whether it’s a 747 or a Gulfstream.

    4. Joe says:

Why did he not salute the second time. liberals God for give them for they know not what they do. unbelievable.

    5. Kev says:

      Still could have also saluted.

    6. Michael says:

Yeah about how to play the last hole on the back nine.

    7. Rachel says:

It’s not Air Force One. It’s Marine One.

  94. Shawn says:

Jim you are out of your mind, he only came back out and shook the Marines hand because he realized he was on camera, this is not the first time and doubtfully will not be the last time he disrespects those who keep him safe.

  95. Kathy says:

actually, as much as I don’t like the man or the way he is running the country, I’ll give him the benefit of doubt in this case. He did go back and rectify the mistake.

    1. Joe says:

Question Kathy. WHY DID HE NOT SALUTE WHEN HE CAME BACK. If your half smart you should be able o figure that out. Do some home work on the man and his family.

      1. Kev says:

I wondered the same but the only thing I can think why is he is so narcissistic he can’t admit a mistake so he turned it in to a handshake. What an idiot!

      2. Sukie584 says:

Because proper protocol is the Presidents DO NOT salute.

    2. Colleen says:

The problem here, Kathy, is Obama didn’t salute right off the bat. I was a medic in the Army years ago and Michael is right. Not saluting will get you nothing but trouble. Obama is Commander in Chief over all branches of our military, as sad as that makes me. He showed no respect whatsoever and as Commander knows he was wrong and didn’t care, until he realized he was being taped.

  96. John says:

This is a nothing story!! You just give Liberals ammunition against conservatives (and rightly so) when you print garbage like this. If I see another Garbage piece like this I’ll cancel my subscription!!!

    1. And don’t let the door hit you in the butt on the way out.

      1. Shannon says:

I totally Agee with Rick’nMarlene don’t let the door hit you on the way out!!

  97. John says:

I agree! If you people want to act like Liberals I’ll cancel my subscription! have some class and respect!

    1. Dianne says:

Act like What ..I think you are the one acting like a Liberal, refusing to see what he done here.. Get real he is a Disgrace to our Country..

  98. John says:

he might want to watch himself, they might just open a door and tell him to jump, heck yea

  99. Holly says:

    Ahhhh….who’s drinking the Kool-Aid, Jim……
Suffice to say…..YOU MUST BE DRINKING GALLONS.
    HE’S A POS.

  100. Michael says:

Come on this isn’t the first time he has done this.Remember the Marine holding the Umbrella? He went inside Marine One, than came back out to acknowledge the Marine, most likely after someone advised him to do so for the photo op. This so called “Commander in Chief” dislikes America, and the military. I am not stupid enough to believe that was an honest mistake. Not with his track record.
