There’s no need to be afraid of guns. So says a most unlikely source on the topic – a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model.
Hannah Ferguson told Fox411 that as the daughter of Marines, she was taught how to properly use guns early on.
“Growing up, at a pretty early age we learned to shoot,” she said. “They started us with pellet guns.”
Ferguson went on to explain to those who are anti-gun that there’s no need to be afraid of them as long as you are properly educated.

Ferguson also feels like guns are sometimes misunderstood.
“I feel like it’s good to have gun knowledge. I feel like a lot of people are scared of guns,” she explained. “They think they’re bad and they really don’t know anything about it.”
“I don’t think they should be taken away from people because any bad person who wants to find a gun is going to find a way to get it and then what?” she asked. “We don’t have a way to protect ourselves? I feel like people should get more knowledge and understanding.”
Ferguson does concede, as most Second Amendment supporters do, that laws regarding the processes for the mentally ill to obtain weapons could be strengthened.
