Despite his weak performance in South Carolina, Ohio Governor John Kasich is refusing to quit the GOP Primary even as Republican officials urge him to drop out!

With Kasich in the race, it makes it nearly impossible for either Rubio or Cruz to mount a credible challenge to Donald Trump, almost guaranteeing the businessman the nomination!

Now Politico is reporting that GOP elders are urging Kasich to quit the race in order to coalesce around a candidate against Trump:

The Republican establishment has a message for John Kasich: get out, and get out of Marco Rubio’s way.

A string of elected officials, GOP insiders and prominent donors officially threw their support behind Rubio on Monday, calling him their last chance to take down Donald Trump. Their statements had another common theme. Some explicitly called for Kasich to quit, while others sent the same message by saying the Ohio governor’s ongoing presence is holding Rubio back.

If at some point John were to decide not to go forward with his campaign, Marco would be the primary beneficiary of that decision,” former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty told POLITICO after his official Rubio endorsement. “It’s not for me or anyone else to say when John should stay in or get out but … John’s decision to stay in or get out could have a marked impact on the race.

Should Kasich follow the GOP establishment’s orders and drop out of the race before Super Tuesday next week or should he stay in and help Trump secure the nomination? Share your thoughts below!

Kasich has a better chance than either Cruz, or Rubio to get the nomination, and if not, how about the VP with Trump. Selfishly he should not withdraw now!

  2. gmhunt says:

    Trump, the “white” Obama

  3. Loralee says:

Yes, he needs to drop out. However, the Republican Estasblishment needs to keep quiet about who they think the nominee should be, because their “endorsement” is likely to have an opposite effect. Let prominent individuals state their own endorsements – that would carry much more weight in the end. Can you guess who I am supporting? 😉 (Not Trump!)

  4. Kathleen says:

Drop out! He isn’t going to win anything and Trump is no conservative just a big bully and a blowhard. Final running should be Rubio and Cruz.

  5. K Thomas says:

It seems the ill informed Rs will nominate Trump the worst informed, and Hillary will become next President. A welcome out come. God save the Unites States.

    1. Loralee says:

If Hillary is elected President, God Help America.
