Bush’s Letter to Clinton Reminds Us That We Are All Americans

Bush Clinton

Election Day is just two weeks away, and while Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are battling for the White House, a letter George H.W. Bush wrote to Bill Clinton after the 1992 election reminds us that at the end of the day we are all Americans.

Following Bush’s defeat for reelection, he penned a letter to incoming President Clinton wishing him nothing but success in office, and saying he hopes his time as president would be a benefit to this nation.

In the letter, Bush wishes Clinton “great happiness” as well as some much-needed advice on how to handle those who were bound to criticize him. Even during a contentious election like the one America is currently going through, George H.W. Bush astutely reminds us that at the end of the day we must remember that we are all Americans!
