I’ve heard of some losers in life, like Steve Harvey making one of the biggest mistakes in naming the wrong Miss Universe, but listening to Jeb Bush’s comment on CBS’ Face the Nation takes the cake!
Bush sounds like a guy who just fell on his face. He picks himself up, brushes the dirt off, applies his handkerchief to his bloody nose, and — with all the dignity he can muster — says, “I meant to do that.”
On Sunday’s Face The Nation, Bush was asked about how he felt when he was the frontrunner and basically what it would take to get back to that status, he responded:
“I hated that,” Bush told “Face the Nation”
“You hated being a frontrunner?” Dickerson asked.
“I feel much better back here,” Bush said.
“I’ve always thought that there was going to be a high expectation for me. And I totally get it,” he explained. “Being the frontrunner made me feel like the other guys just dancing right through this. I have to go earn it. I have higher expectations on me than people have on me. So it doesn’t bother me a bit that the expectations are high. And I want to win, which means that you garner momentum when it matters and so feel I good about where we are right now.”
Is Bush listening to himself? He’s thrown in the towel!
Meanwhile, he appears still stuck with the political fantasy that voters will one day see him as the real candidate, “the adult in the room.”
News reports say Bush recently spent some $45 million with little to show for it. He cannot buy votes.
Meanwhile, Trump continues to soar in the polls, with seven times more voter support than Bush. Bush hasn’t been able to man-up to Trump.
He’s become an embarrassment.
Comment: What are your feelings about this? Should he get out now?
