Bill and Hillary Clinton run their own foundation, but don’t put them down as philanthropists just yet.
Just take a look at the enormous amount of money the Clinton Foundation has brought in – versus what has actually been paid out as charitable contributions.
Not even three percent.
Donald Trump was criticized by the media for raising funds for the Wounded Warrior Foundation, which spends about half of their revenues on overhead, and the other half on aid. The WWF can do much better – but did the same liberals criticizing Trump care that Clinton’s own foundation is much worse? Of course not.
Then enter some other problems: potential fraud. Let’s just look at what Wall Street whistleblower Charles Ortel has to say when he dove into their financials:
Ortel said he has spent the past 15 months digging into the Clinton Foundation’s public records, federal and state-level tax filings, and donor disclosures. That includes records from the foundation’s many offshoots—including the Clinton Health Access Initiative and the Clinton Global Initiative—as well as its foreign subsidiaries.
According to Ortel’s reports, the contribution disclosures from the Clinton Foundation don’t match up with individual donors’ records. He also argued that the foundation is not in compliance with some state laws regarding fundraising registration, disclosure requirements, and auditing rules.
Scandal? Among the Clinton’s? When have we seen this happen before.
