Curt Schilling, former Boston Red Sox star pitcher and outspoken Republican, has just announced he is considering running for political office in his home state of Massachusetts.
Schilling revealed that he is considering challenging far-left Senator Elizabeth Warren in 2018. This is huge!
From The Washington Examiner:
In an interview with conservative radio host Jeff Kuhner, Schilling detailed his interest in winning the Senate seat.
“Curt, I take it you’re seriously considering running for office? And Curt, if you did would it, it’s here in Massachusetts, you want to run here?” Kuhner asked Schilling.
“Yes, yes I do,” Schilling said before Kuhner interjected.
“What are you thinking — state senator, state Rep.?” Kuhner asked.
“I’ve thought about it and one of the things I would like to do is be one of the people responsible for getting Elizabeth Warren out of politics,” Schilling answered. “I think she’s a nightmare and I think that the left is holding her up as the second coming of Hillary Clinton, which Lord knows we don’t even need the first one.”
Schilling said he has yet to decide if he’ll take Warren head on, and would need his wife’s approval before doing so. The World Series champion pitcher also said he is a Donald Trump supporter, and cited his personal relationship with the GOP nominee as chief among his reasons for supporting the businessman’s presidential bid.
Elizabeth Warren is a far-left senator and needs to be replaced and Curt Schilling just might be the perfect person to run against her in 2018.
