President Obama recently accused Republicans of being ‘a recruitment tool for ISIS’ terrorists for trying to stop the flow of Syrian refugees into our country.
“I cannot think of a more potent recruitment tool for ISIL than some of the rhetoric that’s coming out of here during the course of this debate,” Obama said.
He then accused Republicans of being “scared of widows and orphans.”
Ted Cruz didn’t take too kindly to Obama’s insults, basically telling the President to try and say it to his face.
Cruz said Obama’s rhetoric “is utterly un-befitting of the president.”
He then let the President know that going overseas to foreign countries and insulting your fellow Americans is deplorable and, well, wimpy.
“If you want to insult me, you can do it overseas, you can do it in Turkey, you can do it in foreign countries, but I would encourage you, mister president, come back and insult me to my face,” Cruz demanded.
He went on to challenge the President to a debate on his Syrian refugee policy:
“Let’s have a debate on Syrian refugees right now, we can do it anywhere you want. I’d prefer it in the United States and not overseas… It is easy to toss an insult when no one can respond. But let’s have a debate, I’m sure any one of the TV stations would love to host it, and let’s have a debate on your refugee policy.”

After hearing of Cruz’ debate and face-to-face meeting challenge, Obama remained silent – but honestly, does anybody think that a guy whose most athletic effort looks like this …
… is actually going to take on Ted Cruz in a face-to-face debate?
Obama is the real coward.
Comment: Who would win in a fight … er … debate between Cruz and Obama?
