Last week at a rally in New Hampshire, a man prefaced his question to Trump by saying that Obama was a Muslim and “not an American.” He then continued “”We have a problem in this country – it’s called Muslims.”
The fact that Trump didn’t denounce the man asking the question then became a talking point for liberals. Hillary Clinton said that Trump’s failure to denounce “hateful rhetoric” was “disturbing and wrong.” Lindsey Graham and Chris Christie also piled on, respectively stating that Trump was “playing into this hateful narrative” and that “leaders have an obligation to correct such statements.”
Trump wasn’t going to let these comments go unnoticed, and took to Facebook to respond to his critics:
Trump is right to call the media out on their double standard. If he speaks his mind he gets attacked for doing so, and when he remains silent he gets attacked anyway.
