Much has been made recently over a letter signed by 47 Republican Senators to the leaders of Iran warning them that any negotiations with the President would be non-binding.
Several liberals in the media – most notably the Daily News – and their Democrat cohorts suggested that Republicans were acting like traitors.
By their own measure then, Barack Obama, as a candidate for President in 2008, must also be a traitor.
Last summer, Michael Ledeen, an American historian, dropped a bombshell when he was on the air with Mark Levin, claiming Obama sent former Ambassador William G. Miller to Tehran in 2008 to assure the regime that American policies towards Iran were about to change when he becomes President.
Via Mr. Conservative:
Michael Ledeen, the Freedom Scholar at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, recently sat down with Conservative talk show host Mark Levin and exposed some very concerning history involving Barack Obama.
Ledeen revealed that back in 2008, when Obama was campaigning for the Presidency, the then-candidate sent a secret emissary to Iran. Veteran Ambassador William G. Miller agreed to travel to Iran on Obama’s behalf because he too believed that U.S. policy towards Iran needed to change.
“[Obama] accepted [the Iranian leadership’s] criticism of American foreign policy toward them over the years and he was going to make that right,” Ledeen said. “He was going to work with them. It would be a whole new relationship,” he added.
Here is audio of the radio interview via Gateway Pundit:
It is, as Levin suggests, something that “puts things in perspective.”
Just a few short days ago, Obama blasted Republicans for their letter, claiming they were developing a “coalition” with “hard-liners in Iran.”
By that measure, could anyone possibly classify Obama’s actions – sending an actual convoy to Iran behind President Bush’s back – as anything but making a “coalition” with “hard-liners in Iran?”
Here’s another bit of perspective – the letter that Republicans sent to Iran warning that a deal with the President would be non-binding?
The White House just admitted it would be non-binding.
