Trump Was Right! This Announcement By Ford Could Change the Election!

Ford Mexico

On Wednesday, Ford Motors made the devastating announcement that they were moving all small-car production to Mexico because it’s cheaper. For those who were on the fence about supporting Donald Trump, this move by Ford probably just swung a few hundred thousand votes in his direction.

Remember when Bill Clinton claimed more American goods would be sold in Mexico as a result of NAFTA. Ross Perot predicted the massive outsourcing by US manufacturers and strongly objected it. I’m so frustrated that nobody listened to Perot.

So sad 2,800 people are going to lose their jobs. I hope President Trump can turn this around and bring jobs back to our country. We need jobs to support our families.

From Detroit Free Press:

Ford is shifting all North American small-car production from the U.S. to Mexico, CEO Mark Fields told investors today in Dearborn, even though its plans to invest in Mexico have become a lightning rod for controversy in this year’s presidential election.

“Over the next two to three years, we will have migrated all of our small-car production to Mexico and out of the United States,” Fields said.

Ford isn’t the first automaker move small car production out of the U.S. as Mexico has become a mecca for new automotive industry investment and has surpassed Canada in annual automotive production.

Still, the news sparked a fresh round of criticism from Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump, who was in Flint on Wednesday.

“We shouldn’t allow it to happen. They’ll make their cars, they’ll employ thousands of people, not from this country, and they’ll sell their car across the border,” Trump said. “When we send our jobs out of Michigan, we’re also sending our tax base.”

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles said earlier this year it will end production of all cars in the U.S. by the end of this year as it discontinues production of the Dodge Dart in Belvidere, Ill. and the Chrysler 200 in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

The industry has known for decades that domestic manufacturers struggle to make a profit on small cars in the U.S.

Millions in taxpayer dollars were given to Ford in the “bailout” and now they’re taking jobs and moving them to Mexico. We need to start taking care of our own and punish companies that move out. The corporate tax rate needs to be dropped to to ensure we keep them in America.

Good job Ford, you take more jobs out of the country, so I guess money is the bottom line for you. This is just bad business guys. Who would have thought that an established American company would take food and jobs away from the American people. Shame on you!

Tell you what Ford, go to Mexico and make them cheaper. Hopefully only the Mexicans will buy the cheap cars as we won’t be buying them at my house.

Are you angry Ford is doing this to America? Do you think this is the fault of our government? Share your opinions below and let me know what you think about this news. It won’t be good for many workers; that’s for sure.
