It has been decided for some time that Alexander Hamilton will be replaced on the $10 bill. Much of the talk about who to replace him with has revolved around prominent women of history.
However, in a surprising move, the US Mint has announced that current President Barack Obama will be the next face of the $10 bill.
In a statement released late yesterday afternoon, Mint spokeswoman April Sloof said the following:
“While it is customary to adorn our currency with deceased, historically relevant Americans, in this case we feel we needed to make an exception.
The Obama presidency has been nothing short of spectacular and it would be inappropriate not to honor such an amazing man in some way.”
Please note, the bill depiction shown in this article is simply an artist’s rendition, the final bill design has not been approved and made public.
Let me just say, Hamilton created our financial system, which others like Jefferson denigrated, and then used later. His idea to absorb all the states’ War debt, put us on sound financial footing. A Revolutionary War hero who led a critical charge that was key to winning the battle of Yorktown.
He co-wrote the Federalist Papers, that were the basis of the Constitution. His accomplishments as a founding father are 2nd to none, with the exception of only Washington himself. Removing him or marginalizing him from the 10 dollar bill, is a travesty to our history.
What the hell is Obama trying to do to the 10 dollar bill can anyone tell me

Is Barack Obama going to be the woman on the new 10 dollar bill?

When asked for comment the President said, “Let me be clear, this is pretty darn cool. I can’t wait to pay for an old-school Chicago deep dish with my own face.”

April Fool’s Day! Thanks for being a good sport!
Did I have you going? Were you getting angry? There is a grassroots effort to change the bill but don’t worry, nothing is in stone. Share with me your thoughts when you saw this in our comment section (below).
