Ripping John Kerry as “recalcitrant,” Trey Gowdy, chairman of the House Select Committee on Benghazi, stated that he may call on the Secretary of State to testify about his predecessor’s private e-mails.
Gowdy claims that Kerry has been stonewalling his investigation into Benghazi by not turning over documents pertaining to Hillary Clinton, and 9 out of 10 of her top aides.
Via the Daily Caller:
Gowdy, who chairs the House Select Committee on Benghazi, said he has met privately with Kerry’s chief of staff and that their next interaction will be in a public setting.
“If I don’t get satisfaction from that public interaction with his chief of staff, the next person to come explain to Congress why he has been so recalcitrant to turn over documents will be the secretary himself,” said Gowdy.
“I want to get this investigation over with and [Kerry] is the only thing standing between me and a completed investigation,” he continued.
“They haven’t given us emails for nine of the 10 senior aides that [Clinton] had,” Gowdy said of the State Department. “It’s been over a year, and we don’t have a single scrap of paper from nine of the 10.”

Gowdy added that Clinton has had three defenses for her private e-mail accounts, all of which have been proven false.
Clinton has claimed she turned over all of her e-mails to the State Department, said e-mails from an aide to her private address regarding Libya were ‘unsolicited,’ and claimed she only had one device which she used for both work and personal e-mails.
Lie. Lie. And lie.
And now Clinton and Kerry want the American people to believe she’s telling the truth when it comes to Benghazi?
Watching Gowdy hurl question after question towards Kerry regarding his colleague will be incredibly intriguing. He is, after all, a masterful lawyer.
That said, perhaps there’s something even more intriguing on the horizon.
Gowdy said that Clinton will appear before the committee “just as soon as the Department of State decides to give me the documents that I need to have a constructive conversation with her.”
Watching him tear down her Benghazi and/or personal e-mail claims will be a site to behold.
Get your popcorn ready.
