Glen Campbell’s Son Pays Tribute to His Dying Father in Classy Way! (MUST WATCH)

Country music legend Glen Campbell has been fighting Alzheimer’s since 2011, and he released a heartbreaking song about his disease. “Not Gonna Miss You” is a song written to his wife about how he will never suffer the pain of missing her, because of the disease’s effect on his mind.

Now his son – Shannon Campbell – is paying his respects to his legendary father. Shannon is himself a talented singer and musician. Watch (below) as he shows the pain of slowly losing his father. Joined by a drummer and violin player, this version of his father’s song is heartbreaking and sad.

And it’s filmed inside of Glen Campbell’s Nashville home, poignantly in his unfinished attic.

There’s no reason that Glenn’s son can’t be the star Glenn was – Great voice! Good luck young man, and may God Bless your Dad – Those that knew him and his music are sure going to miss him!

  2. Earl says:

It is very sad to see that Glen Campbell is enduring the affects of Alzheimers disease. I remember growing up watching him on the Glen Campbell TV show and remember how he always put on a great show and never once did I see him use profanity or disrespect anyone on his show. He has always been a first class performer. The last time I saw him perform was at the World’s Fair in in Knoxville Tenn. As always he did a great job and the crowd loved his performance.
