Good Parent or Bad Parent? Mother Ends Her Daughter’s Class-Skipping Habit By Doing This

When her 14-year-old daughter was caught skipping school, this mom decided to teach her a lesson by following her with a camera to class!

Single mother  Jeannie Crutchfield, who typically works during the day, learned that her 14-year-old daughter had skipped class every day for a week.

Upset with the news, Crutchfield proceeded to use her cell phone’s video camera to tape Ricki as she walked around the school; the mother then confronted her daughter and asked her what she was doing.

Crutchfield then goes on to deliver quite the news to her teenage daughter. “So guess what I’m doing, Ricki? We’re going to hold hands and we’re going to go to class together.”

The mother posted the three-minute video on Facebook and an explanation, “This is what happens when my daughter Rickilee Durrant can’t act right at school…enjoy parents.”

The video’s gotten thousands of views since it was posted. The reaction? Mostly positive, “from kids and parents alike, even teachers.”

Crutchfield told ABC News that her daughter’s attitude has changed drastically since the video was posted and her attendance at school has been steady.

So what are your thoughts? Good parent or Bad parent?

Excellent job by the mother. A little humiliation can go a long way.

Great parent! I would have done the exact same thing here. She has taught her child that she can’t get away with breaking the rules. That there are consequences for our actions. I’m betting the girl doesn’t skip any more classes. And would also be willing to bet she remembers this lesson for life, and will use this lesson if she has any issues with her own children.

Maybe being by her side should have been enough. I think the point I would have made was that my kid cannot be trusted so I will supervise and will make sure she is in school. She takes it to a another level by taunting her or you can say bullying her and posting it.

Luci is a clueless liberal idiot who obviously does not know nothing about parenting. Sometimes parents have to do drastic things to get their kids to obey and do what is legaly obligated by the kids and the parents, going to school is mandatory by law; comprehend that Luci. This teenager knew this too and did not care, I bet she does now! “Kudos” to this mother. How about the mothers shame of finding out from the school her kid was cutting class? I bet she was embarrassed too….YOU,(Luci) need those parenting classes….

BAD PARENT………Every time someone praises this unfit mother for harassing her daughter, it further exploits and belittles this poor underage girl. For the love of God Children s Aide should step in and ban the video this involves the humiliation of an under age child…. Not okay
To the mother, your not cool, just a sad ignorant person who needs to take a parenting class!!!

For the love of God , He said He disciplines those He loves. This mother didn’t want her daughter to keep it up. Dr. James Dobson had a book call, “Tough Love”. Kids don’t learn nothing when you rescue them or enable them. Even my Abba, YHVH (God) doesn’t spare the rod of correction. I speak of one out of experience, the death of a 2 year old son open my eyes to truth and I was not lord over my life. years later I gave my life to YHVH and have not been the same since. Gen. 50:20

“Harassing” her “poor underage” daughter? Please. What are you? Twelve?
