When her 14-year-old daughter was caught skipping school, this mom decided to teach her a lesson by following her with a camera to class!
Single mother Jeannie Crutchfield, who typically works during the day, learned that her 14-year-old daughter had skipped class every day for a week.
Upset with the news, Crutchfield proceeded to use her cell phone’s video camera to tape Ricki as she walked around the school; the mother then confronted her daughter and asked her what she was doing.
Crutchfield then goes on to deliver quite the news to her teenage daughter. “So guess what I’m doing, Ricki? We’re going to hold hands and we’re going to go to class together.”
The mother posted the three-minute video on Facebook and an explanation, “This is what happens when my daughter Rickilee Durrant can’t act right at school…enjoy parents.”
The video’s gotten thousands of views since it was posted. The reaction? Mostly positive, “from kids and parents alike, even teachers.”
Crutchfield told ABC News that her daughter’s attitude has changed drastically since the video was posted and her attendance at school has been steady.
