He Wanted to Join Marching Band But His Wheelchair Prevented Him… Then His Dad Had An Idea

Jack Wolf is a 16 year old Ohio high school student. Duchenne muscular dystrophy may have put him in a wheelchair but it has not dampened his enthusiasm to participate in the marching band. Jack’s father Brian, a Broadview Heights councilman, developed a contraption to hold Jack’s euphonium so he can move around with his fellow bandmates.

When Jack joined the marching band, his golden retriever Tommy did as well. Tommy wears a band hat and marches along with Jack at their high school football games.

Jack’s attitude is inspiring. We can all learn from him how to focus on our abilities and seek out doing the things we love.
