What would the average American do with their Powerball winnings if they hit the over billion dollar jackpot? Across the country many are imagining what they would do if they hit it big. Coworkers and families are buying into pools, and spending the last dollars of their paychecks to buy a few tickets.
Anyone running for President needs to understand the dynamic for many struggling Americans anxious to feel some relief from their financial stress.
The Democratic Party claims it’s the party of the poor and downtrodden and represents Americans working three jobs to make end’s meet which makes Hillary Clinton’s latest statement during an interview on ABC News that much more laughable.
The network reports:
The Democratic presidential candidate said she purchased a ticket for tonight’s record-breaking $1.5 billion Powerball lottery.
“I did,” Clinton said today during an interview on “Good Morning America.”
So far, Clinton seems like your average American, getting in on Powerball fever. But she goes on:
Clinton made clear, though, that even a jackpot of that size would not derail her presidential ambitions.
“And if you win?” co-anchor George Stephanopoulos asked.
“Well,” she said, “I’ll fund my campaign.”
