A sign posted outside an Illinois machine shop is sure to get second looks, especially from liberals trying to turn Mike Brown, the Ferguson teen who was shot by police officer Darren Wilson during a criminal arrest, into a #BlackLivesMatter hero.
Phil Schmidt, owner of Schmidt’s Welding and Machine Shop in Farmer City, Illinois, posted the sign because he was tired of rioters using the Mike Brown case as an excuse to carry out even more crimes on the one-year anniversary of the shooting.
The message was incredibly blunt: “Congrats, Michael Brown. One Year With No Criminal Behavior.”

An Illinois businessman tired of endless talk about the anniversary of the police shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, hit back in a way that’s got people talking more than ever.
It was a sign that was brutal in its simplicity.
Phil Schmidt, the businessman and owner of Schmidt’s Welding and Machine Shop in Farmer City, Illinois, told The News-Gazette of Champaign that he posted the sign out of disgust with behavior of “peaceful protesters” marking the anniversary in Ferguson.
And with Brown’s behavior before he was shot to death in a confrontation with a cop.
Schmidt, who has posted other signs indicating that ‘Cops Lives Matter,’ said there is nothing wrong with the sign. Rather, it’s those that support Brown that are the problem.
“…all these people in Ferguson going crazy over a guy that broke the law three times that day, tried to kill a cop, tried to get his gun, it’s crazy…What they’re doing to cops makes me sick.”
