Here’s another one of those incredible stories of a compassionate American helping out his fellow citizen in need.
A man riding on the New York City subway recently noticed another man who was shirtless and shivering, so he literally gave him the shirt off his back to try and help keep the man warm.
And it was all captured on video:
Via Fox News Insider:
A compassionate man on the NYC subway gave his shirt and hat to a shivering, uncovered man on a cold night.
Video of the selfless act was captured by Facebook user Lazaro Nolasco and went viral, picking up more than 8 million views since it was uploaded Friday.
“The guy didn’t have a shirt on,” Nolasco told the Daily News. “His body looked sick.”
“The guy did a good deed, so I wanted to record it,” he added. “I would tell him, ‘God bless him.’ That was thoughtful.”
According to Nolasco, the good Samaritan asked the homeless man if he wanted to go to the hospital as well to which he replied, “yes.”
Nolasco then got off the subway while the other men remained, making it a mystery as to what happened beyond that point.
Still, a simple act of kindness by a man observant enough to notice somebody on the subway in need of help has gone viral.
One person on Facebook wrote: “This video just shows that you don’t have to be rich to help someone out. He gave him all he had to help him out. His mother/wife/girlfriend/daughter are one lucky person.”
