With just two days left before the South Carolina Primary, a new poll points to a dramatic shift in the GOP presidential race.

According to a new NBC/Wall Street Journal Poll, Donald Trump is no longer the national frontrunner in the race for the GOP nomination. He’s now losing by two points to Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who leads the field with 28%.

Trumpians can argue, accurately, that this is just one poll, and all the others show their candidate with a handsome lead over his rivals. But anti-Trump campaigners can respond that this is the only poll conducted after the GOP debate a few days ago, where Trump attacked George W. Bush over his handling of the 9/11 terror attacks.

The NBC/Wall Street Journal poll was conducted with voters nationwide, and polls based exclusively on South Carolina voters tell a different story: Trump continues to maintain a big lead, while Marco Rubio is chasing Ted Cruz for second place.
