UFC champion Ronda Rousey and Floyd Mayweather have been involved in a war of words that gets better and better with each passing day.
During last month’s ESPY awards, Rousey blasted Mayweather for his history of domestic abuse when she accepted the award for Best Fighter of the Year and said “I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once.”
Mayweather dismissed Rousey as beneath him, telling her to “call me when she makes $300 million in 36 minutes.”
But Rousey wasn’t about to let that comment sit, and she did the math for both fighters pay rates during the time it takes to finish a fight. Rousey’s fights can typically be measured in seconds.
Via the Daily News:
“[FLOYD] said ‘You make $300 million a night, then you can give me a call’ … and I actually did the math, and given the numbers of my last fight, I’m actually the highest-paid UFC fighter and I’m a woman,” Rousey said.
“I think I actually make two to three times more than he does per second.”
That’s when Rousey delivered the knockout blow to Mayweather.
“When he learns to read and write, he can text me…. I’m just a little bit more efficient.”
