At the most recent Republican presidential debate, Fiorina encouraged others to view the highly controversial Planned Parenthood videos. More specifically, she stated that in those videos you would “watch a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking while someone says we have to keep it alive to harvest its brain.”
Leftist “fact-checkers” quickly pounced on Fiorina for the statement. Sarah Kliff headlined her piece on the topic at Vox “Carly Fiorina is wrong about the Planned Parenthood tapes. I know because I watched them.” More specifically, she states “…the things Fiorina describes — the legs kicking, the intact “fully formed fetus,” the heart beating, the remarks about having to “harvest its brain” — are pure fiction.” And this was all the left needed to hear. Quickly, the Dallas Morning News challenged Fiorina to show the tapes to back up her claims, and Rachel Maddow hounded Fiorina for refusing to acknowledge her misstep.
Unfortunately, Kliff must’ve zoned out for the wrong minute when watching all the tapes, which is understandable considering she had to sit through 12 hours of footage. I’ll help jog Kliff’s memory, as she can view the video below to see what Fiorina was talking about:
The fully formed fetus on the table? Turn to 5:59. The talk of its heart beating and legs kicking? 5:37-6:10. And when someone states that “we have to keep it alive to harvest its brain,” you need to fast forward to 6:07-6:49.
The fact that no other leftist outlet knew where to find this footage is just proof that they haven’t bothered to watch the videos they relentless claim are “deceptively edited.” It’s too bad the one leftist who did watch the videos didn’t bother to pay attention.
