Man Suffers Kidney Failure After Drinking WHAT?

NCI_iced_tea

We’ve all read the stories telling us what we need to do to live a long and healthy life.

Cut back on fat, red meat, booze, and everything else that provides us with a tiny bit of enjoyment.

Well, now there’s another culprit to add to the list: iced tea.

According to doctors, that’s what caused an Arkansas man’s kidneys to fail.

Now, he had been drinking a GALLON of the stuff, so maybe that had something to do with it.

And in case you’re wondering if it was sugared iced-tea that caused the sickness, it wasn’t!

According to CBS, black tea has oxalate, which, in high enough doses, can cause kidney stones, and in this case, kidney failure.

So next time you grab a beer instead of an iced-tea, tell yourself it’s for health purposes.
