Comedian Daniel Whitney, better known as Larry the Cable Guy, is considered one of a handful of comedians that never breaks character to reveal the real person lying beneath.
But when an interview recently turned to the topic of the liberal media’s portrayal of ‘white guys’ or ‘rednecks’ as racists, Whitney got serious.
Particularly, he voiced his frustration with how every time there is a shooting the media ends up actively cheering for it to be a white guy.
Via The Blaze:
In a recent interview with “The Gavin McInnes Show,” Whitney accused the media of being perpetually frustrated when people deemed as rednecks are not racist or do not fall into traps set up to bait them as racist or sexist or anti-Muslim.
“They’ve drawn up this picture of how they want us to be,” Whitney, who rarely breaks character, said. “And when we’re not how they want us to be, they go insane. They cannot handle it.”
“When you watch all these shootings that happen, they’ll even come out and say, ‘Well, it was a white guy that was seen leaving the area with a —’ and when it’s not, you’re right, they are so flabbergasted, and it’s because what they think we are, we aren’t,” Whitney continued. “And it frustrates them to no end, and that’s why they get irritated. That’s why they hate us. They hate what we stand for, they hate our values, they hate us so bad. They want it to be true, and it’s not true.”
