Military Dad Can’t Make Daughter’s Kindergarten Graduation – Watch Who Stood In For Him

Mesa, Arizona police officer, Shawn Prinkey, was unable to attend his daughter’s kindergarten graduation recently, and with good reason. He is currently serving overseas in our armed forces.

In an effort to show that they will always support their fellow officer, over a dozen police force members attended the graduation in his place.

MESA, Arizona: A graduating Kindergarten student in Arizona was faced with being recognized for that milestone without her favorite man in her life. Her dad, a Mesa Police Department Motorcycle cop would have loved to have been there, but he had other obligations as his agency explained.

The Mesa Police Department posted a picture from the event on Facebook.

Mesa Police Officers surprised Officer Shawn Prinkey’s daughter, Sophia, at her kindergarten graduation ceremony on May 13th, 2015. Motor Officer Shawn Prinkey is currently serving overseas in our nation’s armed forces. He couldn’t attend this special event for his daughter, so his brothers and sisters in Blue decided to step up and let Shawn’s family know that we are here for them. We will always support our brothers and sisters serving our great country and we will continue to support those families who are serving here at home. Stay safe Shawn and Godspeed.
