The Miss Universe Pageant Just Announced Their Host for Next Year And You’ll Never Guess Who They Chose

Miss Universe

The Miss Universe Pageant has just announced the future fate of Steve Harvey after his epic screw-up during the broadcast. In case you missed it, Harvey mistakenly awarded the top prize to the wrong participant.

According to Deadline Hollywood, the CCO at WME|IMG invited Steve Harvey to host next year again:

“He was funny, he was informative, he’s high energy, he’s got a great following. … I definitely want him back, and I would hate to see him not come back. He’s going to want a shot to redeem himself.”

I covered this story earlier in the week – watch the video clip.

In all the years I’ve been watching (though I don’t watch it anymore), this never happened. Sure, the possibility was there and we might have thought to ourselves, “what if they ever messed up,” and now it happened.

The Belize Tourism Board, where next year’s competition will be held, also extended an invite to Harvey:

I am sure this might cause some sort of minor controversy, but hopefully, Harvey takes some cue card reading classes just in case. Congrats Steve, don’t mess it up again.
