Mother Had a Premonition She Would Die During Delivery… But No One Predicted This

37seconds

When Stephanie Arnold was pregnant with her second child, she had strong premonitions that she would die during delivery. Friends and family attributed her concerns to hormones and jitters. But, she was so alarmed that she spoke with her anesthesiologist in preparation for her C-Section. The doctor took Arnold’s concerns so seriously that she brought extra blood into the operating room.

Arnold’s gut feeling was right. She had a rare amniotic fluid embolism and flat-lined for 37 seconds. Her insistence that something was wrong and that they need to prepare for it saved her life.

Grateful that she and her son are alive, Arnold wrote a book, 37 Seconds, in which she details this moment and the spiritual journey it took her on.
