Let me say this judge knew before she set foot in the courthouse to take the oath, so whatever backlash she got was expected.
Carolyn Walker-Diallo took her oath of office as a Brooklyn Civil Court judge after being elected to Brooklyn’s 7th Municipal District, but video of the ceremony has sparked outrage because Walker-Diallo, a Muslim, was sworn in on the Koran.
So, is she going to interpret U.S. laws or interpret as sharia law? The powers that be should have NEVER allowed her to use a Koran during a swearing in. Very disrespectful. She has the right to practice her religion in the privacy of her home/place of worship; not the courthouse.
After attenders posted a video of the swearing-in session to social media, conservatives unleashed a storm on insults toward the public servant. “Sickening,” one Facebook user posted in response to the video. “Is this America or the Middle East.” “Another piece of s— Muslim,” another user wrote, “trying to take over this country.” The web site Allen West Republic published an article about the ceremony titled “Obama’s America: Muslim Woman Sworn in As Judge, Look at the FIRST Thing She Does!”
Walker-Diallo referenced her faith on her campaign site. “All is praise (sic) is indeed due to the Most High!” she said in a post thanking her supporters. “I am humbled that my community has entrusted me with the immense responsibility of ensuring that EVERYONE has notice and a FAIR opportunity to be heard in the halls of justice.” Walker-Diallo presides over the 7th Municipal Court District of East New York, Cypress Hills, Bushwick and Brownsville in Brooklyn.
How can you fault the American people for feeling anger at this decision by this judge?

Does that mean that she could be the judge presiding over cases involving Christians and Jews? This is a huge problem.
What recourse would an accused have upon learning she will preside over their case?
There is no way one can be a loyal follower of Islam and a defender of the constitution. Oil and water. Until Islam is reformed to reflect something remotely close to 21st-century thinking – no one alive today will see that – I think Trump is on the right track. I would go so far as permanently banning any Muslims that profess allegiance to Sharia as it exists today.
That might hurt some feelings but “America First” and I am not ashamed to say it. I was born here; I was raised here, and I served in the military to protect this country, I will never support any other country like I do my homeland, period.
