A New Jersey resident raised an ISIS flag outside his home — scaring neighbors who took it as a sign of support for the jihadist group.
Marc Leibowitz told NJ.com a friend of his took the photo and sent it to him but didn’t want to be involved in the issue. Leibowitz then posted it on Twitter and reported it to Homeland Security because “watching the brutality of ISIS in the Middle East and seeing what appears to me to be an ISIS flag flying in a community not far from my home, it seemed prudent and appropriate to notify the authorities.”

ISIS which stands for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria is a jihadist group, widely regarded as a terrorist organization. It claims religious authority over all Muslims across the world and aspires to bring much of the Muslim-inhabited regions of the world under its direct political control
Mark Dunaway, the owner of the house insisted the black banner is a profession of his faith — not his allegiance to a terrorist organization.
“I am not a part of any group like that, and I’m not anti-American,” he told NJ.com.
Its not clear what Mark Dunaway was thinking – he essentially has put up a flag of an organization that is known for beheading innocent individuals.
