New Jersey Governor Chris Christie joined CNN’s “State Of The Union” host Jake Tapper on Sunday morning to defend Donald Trump’s comments about the terrorist attack in New York City. Tapper tried to bully Christie throughout the interview but the New Jersey governor won out in the end and refused to condemn Donald Trump for calling the attack a “bomb attack.”
The liberal media has gone out of its way to make Trump look unfit to lead and almost like he doesn’t know what’s going on in the world.
It doesn’t matter when he said it, hell I said it was a bomb when it happened, and I live in Baltimore. The assimilation by some Muslims in America that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are hoping for is never going to happen if we continue to allow people who want to kill our children and grandchildren into our country.
From Yahoo News:
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says he has no problem with Donald Trump telling a crowd at a rally that a “bomb” had gone off in New York City before officials were able to determine what caused the explosion that injured 29 people on Saturday night.
“I think that what Donald did was perfectly appropriate,” Christie said on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday morning.
At a rally in Colorado Springs, Trump informed the crowd about the blast.
“I must tell you that just before I got off the plane, a bomb went off in New York,” the Republican nominee said.” And nobody knows exactly what’s going on. But boy, we are living in a time — we better get very tough, folks. We better get very, very tough.”
“It just happened,” Trump continued. “So we’ll find out, but it’s a terrible thing going on in our world and our country. And we are going to get tough and smart and vigilant. And we’re going to end it. We’re going to end it. We’ll see what it is. We’ll see what it is.”
Trump’s comments came hours before New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio held a press conference, saying the explosion on 23rd Street appeared to be the result of an “intentional” act and that there was no indication it was linked to terrorism. According to de Blasio, it was “too early” to say whether it was a bomb that caused the blast. Officials also said it didn’t appear the Manhattan blast was connected to a pipe bomb explosion earlier Saturday in New Jersey.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo walked in front of the cameras on Sunday morning and said this was terrorism but not international terrorism before saying that they were still very, very early in the investigation. What type of statement is that?
People just don’t get it – any act that terrorizes a person or community is an act of terrorism. It can be an American citizen; it can be someone from the Middle East – either way, it does not matter – it is someone who is trying to terrorize us, put fear in us. The media is making them happy by posting it continuously and glorifying the events.
Trump was honest with the American people and Christie backed him up by defending him against a hostile media. What do you think about Trump’s way of handling the incident? Share your voices below in the comment section and let me know what you think.
