ObamaCare had proven to be the dud we all knew it was going to be when the Democrats pushed it through Congress, not wanting any Republicans to join in to talk about it or have a say. For years now, conservative organizations and talk show hosts have told Americans it’s not sustainable. Premiums will go up is what we have been told at least once a week and now it’s here as Obama leaves office and America is in trouble.
This is the Obama legacy, period! There it is. Failure, scams, dishonesty and bogus stats intended to make him look good when in fact he is a disaster that has nearly destroyed this country.
Funny how people keep voting for this junk! Get out and vote these people out of office! For those that don’t know, the Democrats are the one who kept doing this to you! I have been telling people about the rise in health insurance, and people said I was crazy.
From Associated Press:
Premiums will go up sharply next year under President Barack Obama’s health care law, and many consumers will be down to just one insurer, the administration confirmed Monday. That’s sure to stoke another “Obamacare” controversy days before a presidential election.
Before taxpayer-provided subsidies, premiums for a midlevel benchmark plan will increase an average of 25 percent across the 39 states served by the federally run online market, according to a report from the Department of Health and Human Services. Some states will see much bigger jumps, others less.
Moreover, about 1 in 5 consumers will only have plans from a single insurer to pick from, after major national carriers such as UnitedHealth Group, Humana and Aetna scaled back their roles.
“Consumers will be faced this year with not only big premium increases but also with a declining number of insurers participating, and that will lead to a tumultuous open enrollment period,” said Larry Levitt, who tracks the health care law for the nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation.
This is not a surprise nor should it be news. Individuals who know that ObamaCare intended to fail from the beginning so we would get singer payer is much closer to fruition. The health care industry is indeed the new industrial complex. I don’t see how anything but a single payer system is the solution. I’m not a socialist, far right from it. But fixing health care would be like slowly privatizing the military.
Put the president and the Congress and all bureaucrats and all government workers on the same program as the public and see how fast it gets changed and workable.
What do you think will happen when Americans find out these premiums are something they can’t handle. Most voters won’t care until it hits them in the pocket. Share your comments below and let me know what you think.
