Officer Wasn’t Happy Being Recorded So He Did the Unthinkable – This Is Awful!

The law enforcement officer in this videotape was either trying to get a rise out of the videographer or was attempting to scare him. Either way, his actions were outrageous and unwarranted.

This video posted to Youtube is garnering a lot of attention. The video appears to show a Rohnert Park, California police officer pulling a gun on a man who was filming the officer from his front yard while he was hooking his boat up to his truck.

We do not know if a particular call led to the officer’s actions or if the officer and the man had interaction prior to the video.

The officer does remain calm throughout the video and does not point the gun at the man, but he pulled it from his holster, make no mistake about that during the encounter.

Prior to pulling out my camera and hitting record this cop pulled slowly into my court then just stopped infront of my house for a good 30 seconds while I was trying to hook my boat up to my Excursion. I stood up and just watched him. He ever so slowly pulled away, circled the court opposite my house and then just parked facing my house.

After an honest couple of minutes I pulled out my camera and pressed record. As minor as some would say it was, when I saw his gun gripped in his hand I really thought he was going to shoot me and claim my hand was in my pocket.

The officer says to the man, “Are you some kind of Constitutionalist? You a crazy guy or something like that?”

Ultimately, the officer admits the man has committed no crime and then left.

The cop was out of bounds with this citizen and hopefully a report was filed! What would you have done in this situation? Share your thoughts in the comment section and share this on your twitter/facebook wall for discussion.

There is obviously more to this story. The male stated..”You guys have done enough to my (or our) family.” That means there is a history here. He also became confrontational right away…pulling attitude. He also refused to take his hand out of his pocket, even saying he didn’t have to. These days cops have to be ready for anything, and having his sidearm pulled but never raised it or threatened the male with it is only a safety measure on his part. Don’t place all the blame on the cop.

The guy video taping is hiding something. He had some drugs in his pocket? This would have been avoided if he would just take his hand out of his pocket. I guess the guy had hold of his penis so tight he could not let go? Also why was this guy video taping cops? I guess he does not have a job so he has nothing else to do. Get a life guy. The cop did nothing wrong. The guy was on drugs.

The guy videoing up a confrontation with a cop. The cop fell for it., & he shouldn’t have. He should have just politely asked if there was any problems, & if not politely gone his way. Rather than getting out, drawing his weapon, & acting as stupid as the guy videoing. One was as stupid as the other….could have turned out deadly, both idiots..

There seems to be a ‘lot’ of information left out here. The person with the video camera evidently has a ‘history’ with the PD. The officer may have been dispatched to the address because of some disturbance earlier. I’m going to with hold judgment, because of this. We’re only seeing one side of this. There is always ‘Two Stories’.

They hate it when we refuse to be intimidated by them. He needs to be fired immediately for drawing his weapon for no reason other than to intimidate someone.

I am a big supporter of the police, but if this is all that happened, this cop needs to be fired!
