PC Police Target Duggar Family for Not Being LGBT Friendly

Duggar Family

As the 19 children of the Duggar family grow up, there have been several marriages, and even a pregnancy, over the last several months. The second Duggar child to get married, posted a passionate kissing picture of herself and her husband. As a joke, the stars of the show, parents Jim Bob and Michelle, posted their own and invited their fans to do the same. When same-sex photos were submitted, the stars of the hit TLC show decided to delete those images, in accordance with their religious beliefs. It was these same religious beliefs which led their eldest son, Josh Duggar, to take a job with the Family Research Council, a pro-family conservative organization which actively promotes traditional marriage. These two incidents, in addition to an alleged robocall voicemail message during which Michelle Duggar made, which LGBT and transgender activists claim painted all transgender individuals as child predators.

As with other conservative Christian reality stars before them (the Benhams of HGTV¬†and members of the family behind ‘Duck Dynasty’), the Duggars are facing the loss of their show if their views, based on their sincere religious beliefs, aren’t repudiated in accordance with what has come to be politically correct in American pop culture and media. While many Americans share their views, they are still the target of a coordinated attack, like the one which targeted the Benham and Robertson family. Huffington Post writes,

Thousands are backing a petition calling for the cancellation of the TLC series “19 Kids and Counting” over the stars’ discriminatory sentiments against the LGBT community.

A petition on Change.org launched by Jim Wissick of San Jose, California, states that “19 Kids and Counting,” starring conservative Baptists Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar and their children, should be axed because of the LGBT fearmongering promoted by the family.

“The Duggars have been using their fame to promote discrimination, hate, and fear-mongering against gays and transgendered people,” Wissick wrote in a letter to TLC which was posted on the Change.org petition page. “You need to take a stand on the side of justice and cancel their show.”

Would you sign this Change.org petition? Do you think the Duggars should lose their show?

  1. Kenny says:

I think the people in the LGBT community really need to get lives. This sort of thing… these seemingly constant attacks on the people with opposing views ARE NOT making anyone more excepting. In fact, I’d say they were having the exact opposite affect. I find it obnoxious, annoying and very, very petty. And for that reason alone, I offer my support to the victims of the “Gay Mafia” attacks.

  2. Maxwell says:

This used to be a free country where you could express your views. It seems that the PC Nazis will not tolerate any opposing views dealing with the sickos of the LGBT people. This is the new AMERIKA hwere every one just says Seig Heil.
