The City Council of Greenleaf, Idaho is planning to post donated street signs at their city limits to show the world just where they stand on gun control and the Second Amendment. Knowing full well that “Gun Free Zones” make the perfect target for criminals, Council members plan to make it clear that their residents will not be an easy target.
One of the main things that sets the tiny town of Greenleaf apart from others, is that they do not maintain their own police force. With a population of approximately 840, the town requests that their residents self police the community. In 2006, city leaders passed the citywide Ordinance 208, asking each household that does not object based on religious grounds to partake in firearms training, acquire a firearm and maintain a small stock of ammunition.
