Two FL Policeman Shoot Up The Wrong Home, Guess Who Got The Blame – MUST READ!

Florida police officers opened fire after going to the wrong home and opened fire on a family, sending a multitude of bullets through the home.

Luckily, officers Carlos Anglero and Stephanie Roberts sucked at shooting and missed their target. But they did hit just about everything else in the house – doors, windows, appliances, furniture, walls, etc., etc.

From Orlando Sentinel:

Ocoee police said it received a call to the 400 block of Belhaven Falls for a domestic disturbance around 1 a.m.

When police arrived the homeowner had a gun, so officers Carlos Anglero and Stephanie Roberts opened fire, Ocoee Police Chief Charles J. Brown said in a statement. There were no reports of any injuries.

But, according to Winter Garden police, which dispatches 911 calls for Ocoee, the disturbance was not at the Belhaven Falls address. The call was at a home on Bent Grass Avenue, about a half-mile from the other location. But the dispatcher was typing in “Bend Grass,” which would not come up in the system, police said.

Allen said the dispatcher triangulated the call, sending officers to the Belhaven Falls address. The caller told the dispatcher it was possible she was at the Belhaven address.

Anglero and Roberts are both 8-year veterans, Brown said. Both are on administrative leave, pending the investigation.

“They will be determining what events led to my officers being dispatched to this address and why the encounter at the address resulted in these officers firing into the home,” Brown said. “Once the investigation is concluded, and I have been provided with all the facts, I will take appropriate action.”

To blame this on the dispatcher and not the responding police is wrong. This is bad policing all the way up to the chief who wants to pin this on a dispatcher. The police did not identify themselves; they shot for no apparent reason. They then handcuffed their victims and left them out in the cold on the curb for 10 hours while they tried to figure out how to cover up the fiasco they created. The chief needs to be fired immediately for his cowardly act of blaming it all on the dispatcher.

Did the resident have a gun (which is legal) and aim it at the police? Or did the police bang on the door without identifying themselves? I suppose it doesn’t matter because this will allbe swept under the rug, which is the usual outcome when the cops screw up.
