President Barack Obama’s BIGGEST Regret Is…

As President Barack Obama (thankfully!) will be out of office in 2016, he is assessing his time in the White House. And what might be his biggest regret – IRS targeting scandals? Benghazi? Fast and Furious? the Spread of the Islamic State (ISIS)? – If you thought it was one of those, you’re wrong.

Instead, Obama is most regretful for not being able to close Guantanamo Bay, which was a campaign promise:

After scandals ranging from the IRS to Benghazi to the botched Obamacare rollout, President Obama said Wednesday his biggest regret is not closing the terrorist detention center at Guantanamo Bay on his first day in office.

Asked at a town-hall meeting what advice he’d give himself if he could go back to his first day as president, Mr. Obama said, “I would’ve closed Guantanamo on the first day.”

“I didn’t because at that time we had a bipartisan agreement that it should be closed,” Mr. Obama said in Cleveland. “I thought that we had a consensus there that we could do it [in a deliberate] fashion.”

Instead, he said, “The politics got tough, and people got scared by the rhetoric around it … The path of least resistance was to leave it open, even though it’s not who we are as a country.”

During his campaign for the presidency in 2008, Mr. Obama made a key promise of closing the detention center for terrorism suspects at Guantanamo Bay. He signed an executive order on the day after he took office ordering the prison to be closed within a year. He later proposed transferring the detainees to a federal prison in Illinois.

But lawmakers from both parties opposed the move, and Congress passed a law in 2010 that included prohibitions against transferring the prisoners.

I’m surprised he doesn’t regret releasing five high-level terrorists in exchange for Bowe Bergdahl. Obama has seen how those terrorists have returned to the battlefield to kill American troops, but he still wants Guantanamo Bay closed?

America needs to get Obama out of the White House!

Is he so isolated from reality by his handlers that he does not know how much America stands against him

Don’t you guys ever proofread or fact check? Obama is not out of office in 2016. Nope! Not until 2017, unless something unexpected happens.

Charles–Obama will need to use his “pen” next year, especially in the months leading up to November election, he will be a “lame duck” president–meaning he won’t get ZERO through Congress, period. As for him being president into 2017–ONLY until a NEW president takes Oath of Office on January 20 from Chief Justice John Roberts. Basically, once the election has ended–he’s OUT right then. He may think he can do more, but it will be on his own since Congress won’t have any obligation to respond to his agenda.
