I can remember it like it was yesterday when Princess Diana, the mother of Prince William and Prince Harry, was killed in an automobile chase by the paparazzi. She was someone the world looked to, and she was so loved by many.
In a recent magazine interview, Prince Harry has shared some of these thoughts about his late mother and how her death has affected his life until now.
Prince Harry could be one of the coolest, most genuine people on the planet. He has embraced where he has landed and is actively giving back. He is getting ready for the Inviticus Games in Orlando and spoke with the media about his love of life and his mom, Princess Diana.
From Daily Mail:
Prince Harry has revealed he is on the lookout for a new girlfriend despite the ‘incessant’ intrusion into his private life and spoke of his desire to complete the ‘unfinished business’ left by his mother.
Speaking candidly in interviews to promote the Invictus Games in Florida, the young royal said: ‘At the moment my focus is very much on work. But if someone slips into my life then that’s absolutely fantastic.’
I agree with him. The media and the weak minded public have lost sight of their “rights” and the “rights of others.” Just because they are a “public figure” does not mean they surrender their private life.
I have been to public restaurants where main “stars” of Broadway plays were performing. Their table was next to ours. We left them alone. They were with their spouse/companion dining & talking. They want their quiet time, left alone.
They should be able to go to the beach without gawkers, be able to walk the streets unaccosted by media & fans.
What touched me is when he said he wanted to fill the void left by his mom, Princess Diana. Everyone remembers the Princess as someone who cared about the less fortunate and didn’t mind participating and sitting down with them to give them comfort in their time of desperation.
The young royal also said he was subconsciously trying to fill the ‘void’ left by his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, after she died.
He said he thought she would be proud of him adding: ‘That probably is subconsciously very much part of my mother – trying to fill that void.’
Harry has been the driving force behind the Paralympic-style event for injured servicemen and women and veterans and over the five-day tournament more than 500 athletes from 14 countries will compete in a range of sports.
The Prince told the Press Association: ‘It’s going to be amazing, the atmosphere is going to be incredible.
Speaking to CBS News yesterday, he said that he hoped his mother would have been proud.
Harry said: ‘I hope she would have been incredibly proud. I hope she’s sitting up there having her own little party and looking down and thinking what we’ve achieved because it’s a massive team effort.
‘I would love it if she was here and I’m sure she would be running around causing chaos like I intend to do.’
The press are obnoxious! Leave the poor guy alone. Publicize the good work he does but his private life should be private! Respect his mother’s wishes of decency!
