Republican presidential contender Rand Paul has an idea that runs counter to the liberal utopia of a gun free zone on college campuses or school properties.
Instead of ‘gun free zone’ signs, he would like to see the schools post ‘we are armed’ signs.
Paul expanded on his idea: the message to any potential mass shooters would be, “We are armed. Come in at your own peril. We have concealed carry for teachers who have it and we also have armed security and you will be shot.’”
It might be a little wordy for a sign, but the three word message would pretty much explain everything that comes after it.
Paul was discussing the recent Oregon shooting and the President’s attempts to politicize the tragedy by pushing for further gun control.
“I do believe guns are a deterrent,” Paul said. “They don’t go into the Sheriff’s office wanting to shoot the Sheriff’s office, they go to the school where there are no guns.
Listen to Rand Paul’s suggestion …
Paul went on to suggest that the breakdown of American society leading to such violence is directly related to a lack of “a certain belief in right and wrong, a certain Christian foundation or religious foundation to our country.”
God and guns – What a novel concept to help keep innocent people safe.
Comment: Do you think schools should allow teachers to conceal carry for students protection?
