Here is an excellent interview with South Carolina’s Hogan Gidley, former Executive Director of the South Carolina Republican Party on the state of the GOP Race in South Carolina.
Gidley knows the Palmetto State well, while working on the past presidential campaigns of Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum.
Gidley had eye-opening news for both Donald Trump and Ted Cruz as he joined Breitbart on Monday morning to discuss the inside information he’s privy to for Saturday’s election.
Here are just a few of the things Gidley said:
- Internal Polls he’s seen show Trump leading by 10-14 points in South Carolina. But that could change, and Gidley believes the race will tighten by Saturday’s vote.
- Gidley confirmed the Debate Audience Saturday was stacked with the Donor Class and were strongly anti-Trump.
- Trump is currently winning among Evangelicals in South Carolina.
- Ted Cruz running into some trouble with Evangelicals. Gidley said he talked with several pastors who were disturbed that Cruz brags about his Evangelical credibility, yet records show he gave very little to charity. His treatment of Ben Carson in Iowa is also troubling to these pastors.
