Hillary Clinton said something last week that a Republican could never have gotten away with. Had a Republican said this, it could have meant the end of their political career, as a witch hunt from the mainstream media would have likely ensued.
Last Thursday, at a campaign speech on race, Hillary seemed to touch on the Trayvon Martin tragedy as she brought up white people and young black men in hoodies.
“I mean if we’re honest, for a lot of well-meaning, open-minded white people, the sight of a young black man in a hoodie still evokes a twinge of fear,” Hillary said.
This is slightly reminiscent of Obama calling his grandmother a “typical white person” who stereotypes people.
How do you think the press would have reacted if a Republican said this instead of Hillary Clinton? Please comment below.
