After the execution of Deputy Darren Goforth while he was fueling his car outside of Houston, Milwaukee, County Sheriff David Clarke had some high powered words for those targeting police as well as for the people he believes have instigated violence towards police officers.
In an interview with Judge Jeanine Pirro, Clarke put the blame directly on President Obama and former Attorney General Eric Holder.
“I am too pissed off tonight to be diplomatic with what’s going on and I’m not going to stick my head in the sand about it. I said last December war had been declared on the American police officer led by some high profile people, one coming out of the White House, and one coming out of the United State Department of Justice.”
After being asked a question about leadership by Pirro, Clarke doubled down on the blame he placed on the White House for stoking violence against police.
“That’s why I said the President of the United States started this ‘war on police.’”
Do you believe the White House shares responsibility for violence against police officers? Or does the blame lay solely with the shooter? Please comment below.
