A 3-year-old boy was given a larger than life Christmas present at his daycare. Not just because the box was twice the size of little Gabriel Pee, or that the wrapping paper took some time to get through because there was so much.
Rather, it was the contents inside the package that made it a gift to remember.
Staff Sergeant Anthony Pee wrapped himself up as a Christmas present for his son, returning home from the Middle East for the first time in 18 months.
Watch the report here WJTV:
Friday, 3-year-old Gabriel Pee got quite the surprise when his father, 29-year-old Staff Sergeant Anthony Pee, popped up at his pre-school, Wee Care, in Byram, after returning from an 18 month deployment in Kuwait and Afghanistan.
This was Staff Sergeant Pee’s fifth deployment to the region. He’s also served in Iraq. He says, “It feels great to get a chance to wind down, catch up you know, and figure out what I’ve been missing for the last 18-months you know… I’m excited.”
His wife, Tarrah, also an Army veteran, says they met during her first deployment in Kuwait.
As we celebrate Thanksgiving with our families this week, we’d like to take a moment to express our gratitude for the brave men and women who have, and will continue to serve our country, sacrificing time with their own families.
Below is a wonderful video compilation of surprise homecoming videos …
Please take a moment to leave a comment below thanking our military men and women for their service.
