Student Suspended for Saying “Bless You” After a Classmate Sneezed

In one of Kendra Turner’s Dyer County, Tennessee high school classes, there is a list of forbidden on a chalk board. One of these phrases recently got Turner in trouble: when someone sneezed she she said: “bless you.”

But Turner’s teacher was furious (above) and Turner was given an in-school suspension.

“She said that we’re not going to have godly speaking in her class and that’s when I said we have a constitutional right.” Turner told a local television network.

I could imagine there are far worse things children could do to each other than generally accepted politeness following sneezes.

This young ladies pastor has already done a better job then this teacher and school administrator have. We will probaboly never hear about the accomplishments of this teacher and administrator because….Well, they don’t have any worth mentioning. The pastor on the other hand, he goes nameless but more people are hearing about the good character building attributes he has instilled in this young lady through his leadership. This young lady will probably learn more and accomplish more by sitting under her pastors teaching one to two hours a week then she will by spepndiing 30 plus hours a week at school under the teaching of this teacher. Its obvious what the favor of God can do in someones life if people will just allow God to bless them.
